The Oceania Cycling Confederation (OCC) regrets to announce that the 2026 Oceania Mountain Bike Marathon Championships will not be held as planned at the Dwellingup 100 mountain bike event on 12 September.

Over recent months the OCC has worked to allow the Championships to proceed on this date. Unfortunately, following an extensive process the OCC was unable to secure a derogation for the Oceania Championships to be held on the same weekend as the UCI World Championships.

The OCC is currently considering options for the event to be held later in 2026 or the first half of 2027, to allow riders a qualification opportunity for the 2027 UCI World Championships.

Pursuant to UCI regulations, 2025 Oceania Champions are eligible to wear the jersey until the next Championships are held.

Oceania Cycling Confederation President and UCI Management Committee Member Tony Mitchell said, “We understand this news will be disappointing to riders, teams and fans and the OCC is committed to hosting the Championships ahead of the 2027 World Championships.”
