The Oceania region’s premier track cycling championships return to Australia in 2027, with Melbourne hosting the 2027 Oceania Track Championships 16-20 February.

Over five days the Oceania Championships will see the best track cyclists from across Oceania descend on DISC Velodrome for able and para-cycling competition.

The 2027 Continental Championships start the qualification process for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, with valuable points also on offer across para-cycling events contributing to Paralympic qualification.

44 titles will be decided across elite and under 19 men’s and women’s events, and up to 58 titles in para-cycling.

It is the first time in over 10 years Melbourne will host the Championships, having last held the event in 2016.

Oceania Cycling Confederation President and UCI Management Committee Member Tony Mitchell said, “We are delighted the Oceania Track Championships are returning to Melbourne in February 2027.

“Melbourne and Victoria have a rich history of hosting world class cycling events from World Championships, Commonwealth Games, UCI Track World Cups, Oceania Championships and National Championships.”

“The 2027 Oceania Championships mark the start of Olympic qualification, and with Australia and New Zealand winning a combined 39 medals at the recent Commonwealth Games, we will be sure to witness some exciting racing as they chase success at the 2028 Olympics.”
