Defending Champions and former medallists eyeing more success at 2026 Oceania BMX Championships
Defending Champions Bennett Greenough (New Zealand) and Leila Walker (New Zealand) are among the former medallists looking for more success at the 2026 Oceania BMX Championships in Brisbane on 21 February 2026
Elite Men
Defending Champion Greenough will be looking to go back-to-back. With Olympic finalist and World Cup winner Izaac Kennedy (Australia) as well as a host of former medallists including the 2025 silver and bronze recipients Jesse Asmus (Australia) and Oliver Moran (Australia), as well as Michael Bias (New Zealand) and Aston Wypych-Coles (Australia) expect some exciting racing.
Elite Women
With the last two winners on the start line both Walker and Sienna Pal (Australia) the 2024 winner will be looking to add to their medal tally here. Meanwhile Megan Williams who has finished on the podium at the last three Championships will be eyeing the top spot for herself.
Under 23
In the men’s defending champion Joel Marsh (Australia) is eyeing consecutive Oceania titles, though don’t expect him to have it all his own way with Joshua Jolly (Australia) who claimed an under 23 medal a year ago and an under 19 the year before that looking for the top step.
Can Isabella Schramm (Australia) make it three medals in three years and defend her title or will Brooke Penny (New Zealand) or Mia Webster (Australia) who claimed silver and bronze a year ago move to the top step.
Under 19
With the 2025 winner and runner up moving up to under 23 will bronze medallist from a year ago Cameron Gatt (Australia) take the title or will a new name emerge from the crop of next generation talents take the win.
It is a similar story on the women’s with no defending champion lining up who will claim their first Oceania title.
