Four titles to be decided at 2026 Oceania Mountain Bike Downhill Championships
The best mountain bikers from across Oceania will be chasing gold at the 2026 Oceania Mountain Bike Downhill Championships in Toowoomba, Australia on Sunday 12 April.
For the first time junior and elite races will be held separately with champions crowned in both categories.
Elite
2025 Oceania Champion Tyler Waite (Australia) steps up to the elite category for the first time and will be looking to claim back-to-back titles. The fastest elite a year ago Luke Meier-Smith (Australia) who won round two of the Oceania Mountain Bike Continental Series will also be looking to pull on the jersey.
As will Oceania Mountain Bike Continental Series leader Zachariah Bradley-Hudson (Australia) and Jackson Connelly (Australia) who won the third round of the series.
In the women’s race expect an exciting battle between Sacha Mills (Australia) and Kate Hastings (New Zealand) who have both won rounds of the Oceania Mountain Bike Continental Series in 2026.
Junior
Indy Deavoll (New Zealand) won the Oceania title a year ago and will be eyeing back-to-back Oceania champions jerseys. The rising star has a win and two second place finishes on the Oceania Mountain Bike Continental Series to her name.
The men’s field is full of riding stars from Oceania Mountain Bike Continental Series leader Jed Kuegler (New Zealand) and series round one winner Cole Hulsebosch (New Zealand), as well as Oliver Colthup (Australia).
