Hannah siblings claim 2024 Oceania Elite Downhill titles
Siblings Tracey and Mick Hannah (Australia) proved too strong claiming elite titles at the 2024 Oceania Mountain Bike Championships in Cairns, held as part of Crankworx Cairns.
In the elite men’s Hannah was too quick finishing in 3mins 39.88 seconds, half a second clear of Connor Fearon (Australia), with Joel Sutherland (Australia) completing the podium a further four second behind. Tracey Hannah (Australia) claimed the elite women’s crown.
Lachaln Roberts led an all Australian podium in the under 19 men’s beating out countrymen Hudson Tarling by nearly a second with Cooper Northey a further two and a half seconds back.
In the under 19 women’s Elleni Turkovic (Australia) stopped the click 33 seconds clear of New Zealand’s Bellah Birchall and Maddison Smith (Australia) who was a further four seconds back.
