Asmus completed the full set off Oceania medals adding the gold and the elite men’s Oceania title to his bronze from 2024 and silver last year. The Australian put the field on notice from the start winning all three of his motos to line up in the final as one of the favourites alongside countryman Izaac Kennedy.

In the final it was Asmus that was too strong as he edged Olympic finalist and World Cup winner Kennedy. Oliver Moran completed an all Australian top three for his second consecutive bronze medal.

In the women’s there was no stopping Walker from claiming back-to-back titles and her third medal in three years. Megan Williams made it a New Zealand top two as she claimed silver for the second year in a row, with Sienna Pal (Australia) snaring the final spot on the podium.
