Logan Martin and Sarah Nicki claim 2022 Oceania BMX Freestyle titles
Olympian Champion Logan Martin produced a world class performance to claim men’s gold and rising star Sarah Nicki took out the women’s title at the 2022 Oceania BMX Freestyle Championships at Doug Larsen Park. Part of the inaugural combined Oceania Championships in Brisbane, Queensland hosted by the Oceania Cycling Confederation, AusCycling, Tourism and Events Queensland and Brisbane Economic Development Agency from 19 March – April 10, 2022, as a part of the Brisbane Cycling Festival presented by King St.
Logan Martin (Australia) successfully defending his title from 2019 with another medal confirming his status as the best in the world and follows his Olympic gold from Tokyo last year. Brandon Loupos (Australia) collected silver repeating his performance from 2019, with Jaie Toohey (Australia completing the podium.
In the women’s category Sarah Nicki (Australia) claimed a maiden Oceania crown, with defending champion Natalya Diehm unable to contest the Championships due to injury. Countrywoman Anais Prince and Porsche Longbottom collected silver and bronze.
