Luke Meier-Smith and Elle De Nooyer crowned inaugural Oceania Mountain Bike Enduro Champions
Australia’s Luke Meier-Smith and Elle De Nooyer were crowned the inaugural Oceania Mountain Bike Enduro Champions in Collie, Western Australia, Thursday 17 October.
Held in conjunction with the 2024 AusCycling MTB Enduro National Championships in the South West town of Collie in Western Australia, the Championships were the first time Mountain Bike Enduro Oceania titles have been offered.
In the men’s event Luke Meier-Smith was too strong taking gold and the Oceania Champions jersey ahead of countrymen Bailey Christie and Thomas Locke from a field of more than 30 riders.
20-year-old Elle De Nooyer proved strongest in the women’s competition. Beating out Jessica Hoskin and Zana Evans for the first Oceania crown.
