Luke Meier-Smith, Kate Hastings, Oliver Colthup and Indy Deavoll win 2026 Oceania Mountain Bike Downhill titles
Luke Meier-Smith (Australia), Kate Hastings (New Zealand), Oliver Colthup (Australia) and Indy Deavoll (New Zealand) claimed Oceania titles at the 2026 Oceania Mountain Bike Downhill Championships in Toowoomba, Sunday 12 April 2026.
Elite
Meier-Smith dominated the elite men’s race stopping the clock in 2mins 51.743secs to claim his maiden Oceania title ahead three and a half seconds clear of Zachariah Bradley-Hudson (Australia) with Carter Sloan (Australia) in third.
In the elite women’s Hasting was also in a league of her own claiming the title in 3mins 20.474secs. Silver went to Sacha Mills (Australia) with Jessica Hoskin (Australia) in bronze.
Under 19
It was two Oceania titles in a row for Deavoll, with her time of 3mins 22.587secs, nearly seven seconds clear of Rebecca Sams (Australia) and Zuri Acheson (Australia)
It was a closely contested under 19 men’s race with Colthup snaring the title in 2mins 57.757secs. His time was just over a second clear of Camden Rutherfurd (New Zealand) with Seppy Binsbergen (New Zealand) a further second back.
