Oceania Champion Mikayla Harvey wins ITU Multisport Aquabike World Championships

2018 Under 23 Oceania time trial and road race champion Mikayla Harvey added to her palmares winning the 20-24 women’s Aquabike world title at the International Triathlon Union Duathlon World Championships in Fyn, Denmark.

20-year-old Harvey who claimed the under 23 women’s double at the 2018 Oceania Cycling Confederation Road Championships in Tasmania in March is a six-time Oceania Road Championship medallist.

Racing on the road internationally for the UCI registered Team Illuminate and in New Zealand for Mike Greer Homes Women’s Cycling Team, Harvey is ranked 15th in the world for under 23 women’s riders.

“On behalf of the Oceania Cycling Confederation I extend our congratulations to Mikayla on her Duathlon World Championship gold medal,” said Oceania Cycling Confederation President Tracey Gaudry.

“Having witnessed Mikayla win the 2018 Oceania U23 Women’s Road Championship in Tasmania and compete in other UCI races in Australia earlier this year it is exciting to see her continued progress and success.”
