Oceania Mountain Bike Continental Series Champions to be crowned in Cairns
The 2026 Oceania Mountain Bike Continental Series champions will be crowned over the next two days with the final round in Cairns, Australia. With two rounds for Cross-country and one for Downhill the weekend is the last chance for riders to earn qualification and Golden Tickets for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup through the 2026 series.

Elite
Olympian and World Championship medallist Rebecca Henderson (Australia) has already wrapped up the series with four wins from four races and will be looking to make it a perfect series. Sarah Tucknott (Australia) with three podiums to her name will be looking to disrupt those plans.
In the men’s Oceania Champion Anton Cooper (New Zealand) will be looking to take the series title, having won the opening two rounds.
Under 23
Ruby Taylor (Australia) has the series sealed and will be crowned the series champion, though the Australian Champion will be looking to finish the series with another two wins. Ruby Dobson (Australia) and Ella Menigoz (Australia) will be eyeing their own glory.
With series leader Jack Ward (Australia) who dominated the opening four rounds in Europe, the field is open for another rider to claim the win. Watch for Harry Doye (Australia) who has two podium finishes to his name and Joel Dodds (Australia) who has been in the top eight all year.
Under 19
Everything is to play for in the under 19 men’s. Series leader James Climo (New Zealand) isn’t on the start line and Levi Gear (New Zealand) can equal him on the top of the standings with two wins. Tommy Mollison (New Zealand) sits second and will be looking to solidify his position in the standings.
Series leader Kayley McMillan (New Zealand) is also absent having already sealed the series title. Countrywoman Dulcie Copeland (New Zealand) who has three podium finishes emerges as the name to beat in Cairns, though Millie Junge (New Zealand) and Alana Fletcher (Australia) will be eyeing the wins themselves. With World Cup qualification for 2027 up for grabs.
Downhill

Sacha Mills (Australia) has the series secure and will be looking to finish with another win.
With the winners of the opening three rounds not racing in Cairns a new winner will be crowned. Qualification is up for grabs for several riders who will be looking to finish the series in the top five. Watch for Hudson Tarling (Australia) and Jed Stanton (Australia) as they look to move up the series rankings.
Under 19
Jed Kuegler (New Zealand) sits at the top of the series standings though with a narrow lead and without a win. He will be looking to change that here, though with Kalani Henderson (New Zealand) and Oliver Colthup (Australia) just six points behind they will be looking for the top spot themselves.
Series leader and newly crowned Oceania Champion Indy Deavoll (New Zealand) won’t line up in Cairns and with Keira Vlaar (New Zealand) looking to repeat her round one win there could be a change at the top of the standings.
