Olympic and Paralympic Champions headline 2025 Oceania Track Championships
Ellesse Andrews (New Zealand) who claimed two gold among a three medal haul at the Paris Olympics and Korey Boddington (Australia) who earned a maiden Paralympic title headline the entries for the 2025 Oceania Track Championships in Brisbane, 11-15 February 2025.
In the sprint events Andrews will be looking to reclaim the Oceania sprint and keirin crowns she last won in 2023. With defending champion Kristina Clonan not on the start line this year rising stars including 2024 medallist Alessia McCaig (Australia) and Olivia King (New Zealand) will be looking to stake their claim and challenge Andrews.
Thomas Cornish (Australia) has won two of the last three time trial titles and will be eyeing success in the sprint and keirin in 2025 as new champions will be crowned for the first time since 2011. Cornish can expect competition from reigning junior world champion Tayte Ryan (Australia), Sam Dakin (New Zealand), Leigh Hoffman (Australia) and Ryan Elliott (Australia).
New Zealand’s Bryony Botha is eyeing a fourth consecutive individual pursuit crown, though will face tough competition from Maeve Plouffe, the only other former individual elite champion racing in 2025. Samantha Donnelly (New Zealand), Sophie Edwards (Australia), Emily Shearman (New Zealand) and Alli Anderson (Australia) are other names to watch.
In the elite men’s endurance races New Zealand pair Campbell Stewart and Tom Sexton who have six elite titles between them will be looking to add to their Oceania medal haul. Olympic team pursuit champions Connor Leahy and Oliver Bleddyn (Australia) will be chasing their own bunch race success.
Joining Boddington in the Para-cycling events are Paige Greco (Australia), Alana Forster (Australia), Leuan Edwards (New Zealand), and Kane Perris and his Pilot Luke Zaccaria (Australia).
