Separate elite and junior races to be held at 2026 Oceania Mountain Bike Downhill Championships

For the first time separate elite and junior races will be held for downhill at the 2026 Oceania Mountain Bike Championships.

Held in Toowoomba, Australia, 11-12 April, the Championships will see the best mountain bikers in our region racing for the coveted Oceania Champions jersey.

Winners of each category will be crowned Oceania Champions and be awarded the Oceania Championships jersey. The top three in each category will receive a medal.

Oceania Cycling Confederation President and UCI Management Committee Member Tony Mitchell said, “We are delighted to be holding separate elite and junior races in downhill for the first time.

“This evolution is part of the continued growth of Oceania Championships and will see UCI points available in both categories. This is an important step and increases the importance of the Championships for riders.”
