Under 23 and Under 19 categories added to 2025 Oceania Mountain Bike Marathon Championships

The Oceania Cycling Confederation (OCC) is pleased to announce under 23 and under 19 championship categories have been added to the 2025 Oceania Mountain Bike Marathon Championships.

The Championships are being held in Dwellingup, Western Australia as part of the iconic C-Wise Dwellingup 100, now in its 17th year, on Saturday 13 September.

First held in 2023 the Oceania Mountain Bike Marathon Championships have grown steadily over the last two editions with former winners including four-time Olympian Daniel McConnell and Samara Sheppard, who is now a member of the OCC Executive.

Under 23 participants will race the 100km distance, the same as elite riders, and the under 19 category will be contested across 60km.

Oceania Cycling Confederation President and UCI Management Committee Member Tony Mitchell said, “The addition of under 19 to under 23 categories to the MTB Marathon Championships is the latest exciting expansion of Oceania Championships.

“The OCC Executive is committed to growing offering at Oceania Championships and providing opportunities for more riders to compete for the coveted Oceania Champions jersey.”

“We look forward to welcoming riders from across the Oceania region to Dwellingup for what I’m sure will be another exciting edition of the event.”
